Tigo RSS Transmitter Kit

The RSS Transmitter Kit is an optional accessory for Tigo TS4-A-2F disconnectors. This box is installed next to the inverter on the DC side of the PV system. The kit includes an RSS (Rapid Shutdown System) unit, to which two CT coils are connected; the output (negative cables only) from the PV system passes through these coils. As soon as the RSS unit loses the signal from either the PV array or the inverter side, it automatically sends a ‘disconnect’ signal and the PV array is virtually de-energised within 30 seconds. The TS4-A-2F units automatically switch to shutdown mode when the RSS transmitter is switched off, and switch back on once power to the RSS transmitter is restored. Tigo disconnect switches are suitable for residential and commercial projects of any size, and installing them reduces the risk of fire to a minimum.
