Sungrow Y-connector for increasing the capacity of SBH batteries

The Y-connector allows two SBH battery towers to be connected to a single inverter. This makes it ideal for applications requiring a capacity greater than 40 kWh. Thanks to the scalability of the SBH battery towers and the Y-connector, you can also utilise capacities suitable for smaller commercial and enterprise storage systems.

Examples of use for a single Sungrow SHT inverter: 

• 2 x Sungrow SBH250 + Y-connector = 50 kWh
• 2 x Sungrow SBH300 + Y-connector = 60 kWh
• 2 x Sungrow SBH350 + Y-connector = 70 kWh
• 2 x Sungrow SBH400 + Y-connector = 80 kWh

Both battery towers connected to the Y-connector must have the same number of modules (capacity).

When connecting multiple Sungrow SHT inverters in parallel, these combinations can be multiplied. The limit for such combinations is 4 inverters in parallel (up to 100 kW AC) and 8 SBH battery towers (up to 320 kWh DC) using 4 Y-connectors.
