Sungrow SG40CX-P2 – the ideal inverter for your project
The Sungrow SG40CX‑P2‑V21 is a high-performance three-phase string inverter designed for medium and large-scale commercial projects. The upgraded CX‑P2 series offers four independent MPP trackers and up to eight high-current DC inputs, enabling it to handle modern high-power modules with ease. For safe operation in demanding conditions, it features an IP66-rated enclosure with C5 corrosion protection, as well as arc fault protection, integrated DC/AC surge arresters and string current monitoring. Commissioning and management are carried out via the iSolarCloud app in Czech – from initial setup through firmware updates to overflow control. The COM100E data logger is available for connecting multiple inverters in parallel and for integration with a smart meter. The manufacturer officially recommends the Janitza UMG604 energy meter for measuring the feed-in point. Furthermore, the CX‑P2 series allows grid-connected inverters to be combined with the SHT hybrid system and SBH batteries for easy retrofitting of battery storage.
The inverter is included on the list of approved devices in accordance with PPDS conditions. The manufacturing module protocol can be found in the Downloads section.
To enable communication between inverters in a parallel configuration and the Smart meter, it is necessary to use the data logger kit, which is included in the COM100E set.
