Sungrow PowerKeeper 12.5 kWh
The Sungrow PowerKeeper STC12.5 battery module is a scalable storage solution within the PowerKeeper C&I modular system for commercial and industrial applications. With a usable capacity of 12.48 kWh per module, the system allows for flexible storage configuration ranging from 50 kWh to 250 kWh per system. Using the optional Combiner Box, capacities of up to 1,000 kWh can even be achieved (from Q3 2026).
The system’s modular design allows capacity to be precisely tailored to actual energy consumption and prevents unnecessary oversizing. This makes the system ideal for applications such as optimising self-consumption, peak shaving, load management, backup power, spot market trading, and PV + ESS + EV charging applications. Thanks to its stackability and pre-configured architecture, installation costs are significantly reduced. Individual battery modules weigh less than 100 kg and can be flexibly expanded.
PowerKeeper has been specially developed for use with the Sungrow SH125CX hybrid inverter, which supports continuous backup functionality with a switchover time of <10 ms.
Note: The appropriate PowerKeeper accessories (Master/Slave) and a compatible SG hybrid inverter (SH125 CX) are also required for operation.
Currently, a maximum of 2 hybrid systems can be connected in parallel, providing a total backup capacity of 250 kW with up to 500 kWh, i.e. up to 2 hours of bridging, plus PV.
Important notes:
- Minimum configuration: 4 battery modules = approx. 50 kWh
- Max. 20 modules per system = approx. 250 kWh
- With the optional Combiner Box: expandable up to 1,000 kWh
- The Combiner Box expansion will be available from the third quarter of 2026
- Currently, a maximum of 2 hybrid inverters in parallel for backup operation
- Backup systems can currently be implemented up to 250 kW / 500 kWh
- System expansion is possible without any time restrictions
