The new generation of the system is based on the familiar storage systems and retains all previous functions. Thanks to further developments in cell technology, the system’s weight has been reduced by almost 30%. The installation depth has also been reduced by 8 cm. This means that less floor space is required. At the same time, the new units have a sleeker appearance. 

Even more flexible and scalable. With the new generation, up to three battery towers can now be connected into a single system. BYD remains true to itself when it comes to charge and discharge capacity. Each battery can also deliver its rated capacity as power – i.e. 1C. This makes the new range ideally suited for on-grid, on-grid plus backup and off-grid systems. As the software remains the same for the new panels, HVM Premium units are still fully compatible with SMA, Fronius and GoodWe.

For correct commissioning, it is necessary to install the supplied terminating resistor (into COM-IN for single-module operation). Without it, the BCU will not recognise the modules and will report a communication error.
